About Us
Who developed the Above & Beyond Events Non-Profit?
In 2018, Marsha Houser produced the name “Above & Beyond” while having a conversation about sports and athletes stating that, to be successful the players must go “Above & Beyond” their normal training to become champions.
In 2021, the idea of hosting events was discussed among friends with the goal of introducing college students to the culture Marsha has now come to love and embrace. Having worked in the sports industry for years, she introduced the idea to merge the sports culture she grew up loving, with her newfound love for Ghana, and the people of Ghana. Above & Beyond Nonprofit will used this opportunity to advocate and empower children, youth, and young adults with S.T.E.M., more specifically the Lady Heike School and the Royal Seed Home, both located in the Central Region of Ghana; and supporting local Preschools, Primary, Junior secondary, Senior secondary schools in the Greater Accra area.
The educational resources that we would like to specifically introduce the children to, in addition to S.T.E.M., would be agriculture training, a variety of camps including, but not limited to, dance, sports, and music.
